Cebu Pacific took supply of a brand-new Airbus
A320neo on Sunday.
The plane, Cebu Pacific’s fourth plane supply
thus far this 12 months, used sustainable aviation gasoline
(SAF) on its supply flight from Hamburg, Germany, to Ninoy
Aquino Worldwide Airport (NAIA) in Manila, Philippines.
Cebu Pacific turned the primary low-cost service in Southeast
Asia to include using SAF into its operations when it
took supply of its third A330neo in Might this 12 months.

SAF is a drop-in gasoline, which suggests it’s a
fully interchangeable substitute for fossil fuels. The use
of SAF ends in an as much as 80% discount in carbon emissions
throughout the SAF lifecycle. SAF doesn’t require any variations to
the plane or engines and doesn’t have any unfavourable affect on
efficiency or upkeep.
“We’re comfortable to welcome one other plane that
used sustainable aviation gasoline on its supply flight from
Hamburg,” stated Alex Reyes, Chief Technique Officer at Cebu Pacific.
“It is a testomony to how dedicated we’re to our sustainable
journey, which includes transferring ahead with our fleet
modernization plans.”
The airline’s three main pillars on its
sustainable journey are fleet modernization which goals, amongst
others, having an all-Neo fleet by 2027; useful resource optimization,
which incorporates pushing for gasoline effectivity greatest practices; and
using SAF by launching inexperienced routes by 2025 and utilizing SAF for
its complete community by 2030.
Cebu Pacific intends to make use of SAF for the supply of three
extra plane later this 12 months.
