The Union Authorities has notified second part of the scheme for enhancement of competitiveness within the capital items sector with a monetary outlay of ₹1,207 crore.
The general monetary outlay would include a budgetary assist from the federal government of ₹975 crore and the remainder of ₹232 crore would come by the business contribution, mentioned an announcement from the ministry of heavy industries on Friday. It added that the scheme was notified on Tuesday, January 25.
“The target of part II of the scheme for enhancement of competitiveness of the capital items sector is to develop and enlarge the affect created by part I pilot scheme, thereby offering better impetus by creation of a powerful and globally aggressive capital items sector that contributes no less than 25% to the manufacturing sector,” it mentioned.
The scheme would contain identification of applied sciences by expertise innovation portals, establishing of 4 new superior centres of excellence and augmentation of present centres of excellence, promotion of skilling in capital items sector–creation of qualification packages for talent ranges 6 and above.
It will additionally entail establishing of 4 frequent engineering facility centres (CEFCs) and augmentation of present CEFCs together with augmentation of present testing and certification centres and establishing of ten business accelerators for expertise growth.
