US President Joe Biden is to carry a video teleconference later with the leaders of France, Germany and Britain to debate “the newest developments concerning Russia and Ukraine,” the White Home says.
The decision with French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will happen at 5:30 p.m. Israel time (1530 GMT).
It comes as frantic diplomatic efforts to halt Russia’s invasion of Ukraine proceed, and after one other evening of shelling raised extra fears of civilian casualties.
Kyiv and Western leaders have been demanding Russian chief Vladimir Putin finish his invasion and permit secure passage for civilians in a foreign country. The United Nations says greater than 1.7 million folks have already fled.
