WASHINGTON, April 22 (Reuters) – The U.S. navy expects greater than 20 international locations to attend Ukraine-focused protection talks it can host in Germany subsequent week that may focus partially on Kyiv’s long-term protection wants, the Pentagon stated on Friday.
Pentagon spokesman John Kirby appeared to minimize expectations of bulletins about long-term help on the April 26 talks, saying: “We’re not going into this with a pre-cooked set of endings right here.”
He added that about 40 nations had been invited to attend the talks, which weren’t being organized beneath the NATO alliance umbrella, and embody non-NATO nation states.
