MONTERREY: Hurricane Estelle gathered energy off the western coast of Mexico on Sunday, packing most sustained winds of close to 85 mph (136 km/h), in line with the US nationwide hurricane heart (NHC).
As of Sunday afternoon, the storm’s heart was situated about 330 miles of Cabo Corrientes, Mexico.
No coastal watches or warnings are in impact.
The storm is predicted to strengthen over the approaching day, and will convey “life-threatening surf and rip present situations” to components of Mexico’s western coast, in line with NHC.
